So I'm sure you guys have all heard about Mike Lange's firing from Fox... I just wanted to pass this on since a friend sent it to me. It's a petition to bring him back, but I know it's probably too late for that.

Thanks Mike for the years of great announcing. I will always remember you as the voice of the Penguins.

honestly. how many of you went to the game last night?!! the flower was AMAZING. actually, amazing is an understatement. congrats to crosby on his 100th goal and all. and MAN, fleury rocked my socks. i mean, honestly. he stopped the devil's satan's penalty shot. and i don't know about you, but WOW, i would just like to point out to you that even through all of his pads: i still think he has a nice butt. he's a hottie hot hottie!! yea, so megan and i went to last night's game... we were in B32!! ah! so much fun. such good seats. all we won was being able to watch a history making game. but hey-i'm okay with that!! i mean, they played  fantastically last night. wow. yea. and my other obsession: maxime talbot. there was a girl sitting in the row in front of us-also a talbot fanatic(but sorry, he's mine. i'm 18!)-and the front of her shirt said MAD MAX and the back TALBOT. and i was like, wow. i love your shirt. and then she told me she like my jersey(it's talbot(dur)!) anyway. woo!!!

*waves* hi! I'm a huge Pens fan and am really bored today so I'm doing fun stuff like finding this community! I joined it right away, which is insane for me...but it's because the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had a SWEET article on Fleury today and I figured it should be linked off here...because even though his own team scored on him TWICE last night in the 6-5 loss to the Canadiens....he rocks my world.

Can we say first home shutout?
And two wins in a row?
And being all around amazing?

The Pens have made me so happy this weekend.

This is beautiful...beating the Caps 4-0?! I'd love for my Fleur to get a shut out tonight, so just keep it up! I'm loving every minute of this...prove the announcers wrong and don't let the Caps score...

Good save Fleury!

Anyone else worried that the team is relying on poor Fleur and that he's going to die of exhaustion?

Or is it just me?

Mkay, we all know the Pens are one messed up team, both finacially and in reality with their play.

Today, Thibault was put on IR, and Caron and Sabourin were called up from the Baby Pens. I've heard about one of the bonuses in Fleur's contract that is in effect after he gets 20-some starts. How much bullshit is it that they're talking about Fleur's near-future being questionable because of that?

Do you think Craig Patrick would really send Fleur down because of his contract? I mean, they barely brought him up, even when it wasn obvious that he should have been here.

Aaaaaagh, it makes me nervous just thinking about it. Anyway, Sabourin is supposed to start tonight, from what I've heard, so it will be interesting to see where that goes.

Just wanted everyone's thoughts on the issue.

♥ Toni

UPDATE: Sabourin is staring in goal for the Pens tonight. I'm excited, because I've never seen him play. What is it with us and French-Canadian goalies? Not that I mind, 'cause I aime their accent. : ]

SECOND UPDATE: Fleur's in goal after 20 seconds of the second period.

Losing 3-0 to the Thrashers?!
C'mon, guys! Get up!
I'm glad Therrien put Fleury in...finally! Nothing against 'ol T-Bone, but face it--Fleury's been on top of his game...he needs rest too, but keep him in...the boys need to keep winning...

I was just thinking in the car, man, I hope these boys stay together. I know that any professional sports team is a business, but can you imagine these guys sticking together--even for another year??
They're amazing now, they'll be even better as they learn to play together and with the same guys all the time...it's like high school. If you've been playing with the same people since 5th grade, chances are you're going to be pretty damn good when you're a senior. When I played basketball in high school {Oh, so long ago! Like, last year about this time! LOL!} I had been playing with the same girls since 5th grade. No doubt we were pretty good together. We knew where everyone was on the court at all times--this just coming from playing together.
So just imagine for one second what the Pens will be like next year if all of the guys stick together and stay in Pittsburgh...it will be beautiful...like the old days when Lemieux first came and we had all of the guys together. It was magic. These younger guys can bring all of the magic back...I really just hope that they stick together. That would be the best thing for the team and for the city...

*Bring the magic back, boys...*
