Mkay, we all know the Pens are one messed up team, both finacially and in reality with their play.

Today, Thibault was put on IR, and Caron and Sabourin were called up from the Baby Pens. I've heard about one of the bonuses in Fleur's contract that is in effect after he gets 20-some starts. How much bullshit is it that they're talking about Fleur's near-future being questionable because of that?

Do you think Craig Patrick would really send Fleur down because of his contract? I mean, they barely brought him up, even when it wasn obvious that he should have been here.

Aaaaaagh, it makes me nervous just thinking about it. Anyway, Sabourin is supposed to start tonight, from what I've heard, so it will be interesting to see where that goes.

Just wanted everyone's thoughts on the issue.

♥ Toni

UPDATE: Sabourin is staring in goal for the Pens tonight. I'm excited, because I've never seen him play. What is it with us and French-Canadian goalies? Not that I mind, 'cause I aime their accent. : ]

SECOND UPDATE: Fleur's in goal after 20 seconds of the second period.

At some point, the Penguins are going to have to learn that to make money, get wins, and keep a fan base they are going to have to spend what little money they have and keep Fleury on. Besides Crosby and all the rookies from WB, it is a good idea to let FLuery play with them and build up our future team. Let them get used to one another on an NHL level.

*turns game on* oh goodie, I get the Columbus announcers tonight. All I want is to know who is starting.

I saw him play Toni when I went to the WB game. Of course, that was his one lose on the year but he is a solid goalie and can anticipate...

never mind, they just scored. Way to make me a liar Sabourin.

Okay, normally he is a fast player and can anticpate well. He seemed to have a fairly decent glove hand too.

Hahahaha, I read that and was like "What?" 'cause Toni's my name. Threw me for a second.

Ooooooh, this game makes me nervous. We have a four min penalty, though.

can we chalk this up to nerves maybe?

Isn't this his first NHL game?

He played a few games when he was in Calgary, I think.

I say if he lets in one more, put Fleur in. It won't contribute to his starts-induced bonus.

At least they're showing some emotion. That's how you beat the hell out of them, Roy.

I guess that kills the nerves theory.

Showing some emotion yes, but I still would not want to be in that locker room giving up two goals in the first five minutes either.

Therrien is not going to be a happy man even if the Pen tie it or take the lead.
